Description

Handle a wide range of routine and complex applications—perform simple absorbance measurements, determine sample concentrations or run a rate analysis. 

Split-beam optical design with high energy and low stray light minimizes photometric drift. Dual solid-state detectors enhance stability. Single-grating monochromater with 1200 lines/mm. Tungsten-halogen and snap-in deuterium lamps self-align during powerup. Lamp "off" standby status prolongs lamp life and reduces operating costs. 

Precise, automated analysis of multiple samples. Both units include a removable microprocessor-controlled eight-position multicell holder that accepts up to eight 10mm pathlength test tubes or cells. Once samples are loaded, holder automatically moves into position for measurement—providing precise, repeatable positioning of small-volume cells. Multicell holder removes easily to accommodate other sample accessories. 

Easy to set up, run and display scans. SoftKeys keypad technology simplifies entry of wavelength, sample identifier and other parameter limits. Four triangular keys let you display parameter entry, reducing chance of error. "Sample ID" function applies alphanumeric names to samples. Keypad confirms entries with touch and tone. "Lock Test" option prevents unauthorized changes to test setup. Built-in self-diagnostics run each time unit is powered up. Backlit LCD displays test parameters, graphical data, test results—and complete instrument status using a series of pictograms.

Select SoftCard programs permit quick setup of parameters for specific tests and expand capablities. Application I SoftCard software performs standard curve, survey scan, three-point net absorbance, area under a curve, simple kinetics, and absorbance-ratio functions. Application II SoftCard software performs same functions as Application I SoftCard software—plus includes advanced kinetics, absorbance difference and multiple wavelength programs. Memory SoftCard data cards further enhance each unit's capabilities by storing test parameters, sample data, test results and day/time information for up to 100 files. 

Centronics-compatible parallel port permits unit to be connected to external printer such as HP LaserJet III or plotter (like HP LaserJet III using HPGL). Overall dimensions: 19L x 221/4W x 81/4 in.H (48 x 56 x 21cm). For 115V 60Hz.
